Enonia

The small, rough and tumble frontier town that serves as the base and starting point for the PCs. Once a sleepy farmer’s city, the locale has fallen on hard times during the Dark Ages. Many of the older buildings lie in disrepair, and most of the townsfolk now huddle to the center of town, behind a crumbling wall. There is a local market square for the few farmers around the area and a temple for the Church of the Light.

A main road comes from the center of the Eastern Borders to the west of Enonia into town. The remnants of the Dalewoods Road lie on the eastern side, heading through the Dalewoods and the formerly populated eastern part of the Lands towards Irecia but nobody travels that road anymore.

The Enonia Keep lies within eyesight of Enonia to the west.

Ancient maps point to the Dalewoods Inn, a wayfarers’ hostel that used to welcome visitors with a roaring hearth and mugs of ale, as a point of respite along the route. Today none will speak of the Inn, but rumors persist of a magical sword that awaits a new master near the Inn—and that a dragon guards his hoard jealously!

The former city of Irecia lies two days travel down the road, but nobody visits there, for the Damned now hold sway.

To the west are the populated lands and keeps/kingdoms of the Eastern Borders. No adventure is to be found there, only the boring squabble of petty Lords fighting over their own lands and keeping out the dark, and the desperate survival of Men and the other races.

To the north and northeast are the Dark Woods. Most attacks by the bestials and beasts come from these lands. Further to the northeast, roughly a fortnight’s travel, are the Sithasten Mountains.

To the southeast lie the rolling hills and grasslands of Valenia. Once beautiful farmlands, now only the rotting remains of those farms and bestials live there.
